Bounded Culture

Bounded culture is  another word for co-culture. Bounded cultures are smaller cultures within large cultures. There are many different bounded cultures made up of many different kinds of people and identities. Without even trying, when we think of specific bounded cultures, we automatically assume different expectations from these groups. Almost like stereotyping. The people in these groups want to stand out from us and want us to see them as different then other groups around them. We are all apart of different co-cultures. Many TV shows are targeted toward different co-cultures. Joseph “Chroe” Westervelt wrote about stereotyping Greeks in an article you can find in The Arrow.
